I, Goodspaceguy, am again a profit and jobs and prosperity candidate for the King County Council, from King County District 8, Washington State.
We sheeple (victims?) should build a profit and jobs and wealth partnership in King County. Many jobs are created by profit and wealth.

Some centuries have greatness in them. In the 20th Century, crew members of Spaceship Earth developed cars, airplanes, movies, television, and computerization. We moved from the Horse and Buggy Age into the start of the Space Age. Now great goals for this new 21st Century are (1) to build a full employment world, starting with King County, and (2) begin Orbital Space Colonization and research, perhaps starting with Boeing space habitats. (Unhappily, to increase the number of jobs requires lowering wages.) (Reporting this and other facts will probably cause me, Goodspaceguy, to lose many votes.)

I, Goodspaceguy, have studied economics and studied how to increase jobs and the living standard and how to improve the quality-of-life: To increase jobs, we should increase profits. Unfortunately, when the average wage and other shocks become too high, RECESSIONS occur. Many jobs disappear. Wages, profits, and prices need to be kep in balance to keep jobs plentiful. Also by unsabotaging the economy and by growing jobs for everyone who is willing to work, let's reduce crime which would help raise the living standard in King County. Unsabotage the economy so jobs for everyone can appear. Idleness promotes crime and stagnation, but work produces the income, and the goods and the services that raise our living standard. Let's grow a profit and wealth society in King County that will grow jobs. The pursuits of wealth and profits are incentives that produce jobs. Prices must cover wages; therefore when average wages go up, average prices must also go up to maintain profit and manitain jobs. But higher prices slow sales. RECESSIONS try to cut the average wages so that the job-producing incentive of the profit margins can be increased to bring back jobs in spite of economic shocks. Guided by profit, the competitive free market strives for an on-going balance in wages, profits, and prices, and the production of goods and services that the consumers will buy. Through balance, guided by profit, the competitive free market raises the living standard.

To help unsabotage the economy, let's abolish the job-destroying minimum wage. Wages should be set by the profitable, competitive interaction of the supply of different types of labor with the demand for those types of labor. Minimum wage unemployment is a huge waste!

Starting with the homeless, let us make life better through helper jobs for people who want to work. We should make government the back-up, safety-net employer for "helpers" at a low wage, which would be a huge improvement over earning nothing.

The worldwide population explosion is the cause of much worldwide poverty and destruction. Refugees flee to King County. Let's replace some taxes with a head tax to slow the flood of refugees into King County. A head tax would be a much more pleasant solution than the old, cruel methods of population control, such as starvation, disease, murder, and war. Our Earth now has to support more than three people for every one person she supported a hundred years ago, and the world population continues to grow and grow, sending even more refugees into King County. World head taxes, starting in King County, are a partial solution to Earth's poverty caused by over-population.

To glorify the future wealthy and job-rich King County that we should grow, we should try to make it easier to grow the movie-making industry in King County.

To reduce traffic congestion, let us abolish government restrictions on the height of buildings so that more people can live closer to where they want to be. Let's become more ecologically friendly by making it easier and less costly to build wealthy, high-rise condominiums and apartments, which have smaller ecological footprints. Let us build better sky-homes than the people of Vancouver Canada have built. Let us make it easier to increase the housing supply, which should slow the upward movement of rents.

To increase the quality of life and reduce the stress level, let us ask government to increase free and easy parking. People pay a lot of gas tax and deserve more free parking for their taxes. Gas tax paid parking should be considered part of the road system.

Let us make it easier for people to obtain knowledge by increasing the open hours of libraries and by increasing the accessibility to libraries and to colleges by providing more free parking. Let us promote part-time work and part-time study and free parking.

Thrifty and prosperous, I, Goodspaceguy, received my Master's Degree from the University of Minnesota. I, Goodspaceguy, previously studied for three years at Stockholm University in Sweden, having already earned my Bachelor's Degree in Germany.

Dear fellow Sheeple, move Upward with me, Goodspaceguy.
My name is Goodspaceguy, and I am one of 15 candidates for the office of US Senator from Washington State. This important Primary Election ends Tuesday, August 17, 2010. Please vote and help unsabotage our economy.
Who am I? I’m just some guy who has studied economics and who advocates unsabotaging our economy so that everyone who wants to work can have a choice of jobs.
And I’m just some guy who has studied astronomy who advocates getting our orbital space colonies started. You have already paid the money, but we don’t have the starter cololnies.
And I am also a life-long student who is also advocating that we do more research in Rejuvenation Science so that you and I might stay young longer.
I, Goodspaceguy, object to the billions and billions of dollars of waste that I know about, and I object to the sabotage of our economy that has caused the loss of so many jobs.
Under the big spenders who you usually elect, this waste and this sabotage of our economy continues, year-after-year, and throws some of you out of work, thereby lowering production and lowers our living standard.
I have become prosperous because I am a small spender.
The big spenders, whom you usually elect, tend to build powerful campaign organizations. Then they steam roll the small spenders, like myself, and then you elect the big spenders, and then you suffer under the tax burden that the big spenders put on your shoulders.
You who are the workers have to carry the load of big government with its many acts of destruction and its many wasteful rob-Peter-to-pay-Paul programs and its various wars. You workers are carrying a heavy, heavy burden that you may have voted for. This limits the share of your production that is left over for you to consume.
Although we sheeple are the foundation of power, we sheeple are regularly shorn.
Let us unsabotage our economy. Vote for the small spenders ... especially the small spenders who understand economics. Big spenders and the big government they build and maintain are forced to shear you! It is in the nature of big spending that you be shorn.
In solving world problems and unsabotaging our economy, please think of your Earth as a spaceship: our Spaceship Earth, and please think of yourselves and me as crew members, working to improve life on our Spaceship Earth.
Some nations have dictators who often run their economies badly.
But we, the sheeple, have a democratic republic, which we are currently running badly because most people have not been educated in the science of economics. But at least we have People Power. Our people need to study how to operate our economy better. Our economy is like a machine, like a truck.
A truck runs better when its owner studies how it works and studies how to maintain it.
To run our Spaceship Earth better, I request that you spend some time studying the science of economics and studying how to promote greater long-run profits and incentives.
When people attack profits, they decrease jobs. Losses create layoffs, but profits create jobs. Therefore, you who want jobs, you especially should defend profits and you should speak against progressive taxation because it decreases incentive.
As a student of economics, the best regressive form of taxation that I know about is the regressive head tax. Regressive taxation promotes smaller government and greater production and lowers the burden on the workers. Surprisingly, the head tax helps to raise the living standard of the workers as the workers get to keep a larger percentage of their production.
Of all forms of taxation that I, Goodspaceguy, know about, the head tax is the least distortive tax that you can place on yourselves as you operate our government and our competitive economy.
To get our competitive free market functioning better, let us build a job/wealth partnership.
When profits disappear, the business owners find themselves working for free. When losses grow, the business owners are actually paying to work, instead of being paid to work. Losses increase layoffs.
For a healthy economy, workers and owners would do well to form a team relationship that will produce long-term profits and long-term jobs.
Let us increase the benefits for wealthy people to move to Washington State and to bring their headquarters and jobs here, and let us make it profitable for wealthy people to stay in Washington State.
Let us continue to oppose the sneaking in of an income tax.
Let us abolish any inheritance tax so that there will be more incentive to become wealthy and create more jobs.
To become the leading jobs and wealth producing state will not be easy because it requires changing erroneous beliefs, but jobs and wealth do go together. When people attack wealth, they help create unemployment.
If we study economics and profits, and if we build the reputation that Washington State is the leading job/wealth producing state in the United States, we can become leaders in making our Spaceship Earth a more prosperous spaceship.
Let us start to unsabotage our economy, and let us start by abolishing the evil minimum wage that makes it difficult for people-with-problems to get jobs.
The unemployment rate indicates how badly the power-structure has sabotaged our economy and decreased our jobs. You should not re-elect those big spenders who have put such a huge burden on you … including your loss of jobs.
We should already have more than 200 private space habitats in orbit, connected together in different configurations and in different orbits. You have already paid the money required for space colonization, but you have not gotten the space colonies because many of your chosen leaders have not studied space colonization, and so they have misspent your money, not understanding the Fantastic Future that we can build.
Gradually, the other nations of our Spaceship Earth will be doing more and more in space. India and China have already sent research spacecraft to orbit the Moon.
The colonization of space by life from Earth has a similar significance as the colonization of the land by life from the sea millions and million of years ago. Space colonization will be a big thing in the history of our Spaceship Earth and in the history of human civilization.
If you look at our Spaceship Earth with your naked eye from the orbit of Planet Neptune, Earth is so small that you will not be able to see our tiny Spaceship Earth. All the civilization and history of human kind has occurred on a tiny dot in space that is so small that it is invisible when looking at our entire solar system at once.
The Sun orbiting space colonies are coming. Then when the killer comets and asteroids (like those, which we recently photographed hitting Planet Jupiter) cross the orbit of our Spaceship Earth, the space colonists will be in place to start the mining of those killer comets and asteroids. Busy mining away … the space colonist can convert the materials of the comets and asteroids into resources for further expanding their Sun orbiting space colonies. Using the huge power of the Sun, the orbiting space colonist will gradually be able to build the most sophisticated human societies our human race has ever known.
We are operating way below our production possibility curve. We can do so much, much better.
Forty years ago with our Moon landings, we should have started the beginning, private enterprise space colonies.

This is a July 7, 2010 message from me, Goodspaceguy, one of fifteen candidates for the office of US Senator from Washington State to Congress.
I, Goodspaceguy, request that you think of our Earth as a beautiful spaceship, traveling in space around our Sun in our solar system. Also, please think of me and you as crew members of Spaceship Earth, solving problems from the viewpoint that we are the crew of Spaceship Earth.
How high can we raise knowledge and the quality of life? How close can we come to making Washington State into a leading job/wealth growing state? If people allow us to unsabotage our competitive free market economy, our economy can then provide job choices for everyone who wants to work. To increase jobs, please let us build a job and wealth partnership.
Let’s abolish the evil, job-destroying minimum wage in the private sector so that we can get more homeless people and people-with-problems working.
At government-only minimum wages, our national and local governments should become safety-net employers and back their minimum wages by employing as helpers those people (including people-with-problems) who apply for work at the different minimum wages. We need helpers in all areas in which our governments provide services.
The unemployment rate indicates how badly our leaders have sabotaged our job market. Let’s reduce crime and raise the living standard by unsabotaging our economy. Because some workers want more leisure, government should lead by creating

High Compensation Promotes Unemployment
In our competitive free market economy, prices change. Prices adjust. Prices attempt to create a full employment economy by finding the price level where supply and demand balance. At the balancing, equilibrium prices for labor, people should have a choice of jobs. Wages are a prime ingredient in the construction of prices. Usually, when wages go up, prices go up. A simple rule: if wages go up, prices go up.
High compensation promotes unemployment and recession, because the high, increasing compensation causes profits to turn to losses. Then some of the highly compensated people get laid off. (There is not enough money to hire everyone at high pay.)
A simple rule: Losses create layoffs. Profits create jobs.
But the COMPETITIVE free market attempts to bring in competing labor to bring down the cost of labor until everyone who wants to work at the competitive market rate has work at the different free market rates for the different types of labor.
At the lower market rates for labor, profits might increase. Increasing profits help to increase employment.
If you want to increase employment, do what is necessary to increase long-run profits. Profits promote employment. Losses cause job loss.
Recessions and recurring recessions are caused by widespread compensation and other costs and other taxes and other regulations that are too, too high. Profits again disappear. Jobs are again lost. Recessions force people to become more reasonable in their compensation demands. Receiving less compensation, people can help make up for other sabotage of the market place that may be occurring. If people do help lower the effects of sabotage of the market, profits may return. Then jobs may return.
But with good times returning, people may again demand higher compensation. Profits decrease.
To increase profits, people can also decrease taxes and regulations or other causes of sabotage of the job market.
Can you think of anything else that will decrease profits and lead to job loss?
How about management mistakes? Would labor unions do anything to decrease profits and thereby decrease jobs?
The wonderful COMPETITIVE free market strives again and again and again for balance and full employment.

The voters promote big government by usually voting for the big spending candidates, which the media usually helps promote. (Please, stop doing this. Vote for the small spenders instead, hopefully for small spenders who understand economics.)
The winning, big spenders, who the voters normally vote for, then continue to maintain or even grow big government, a heavy, heavy burden on the workers.
Big government wastes resources, destroys resources, over-regulates, and causes stagnation. The workers must carry the waste and burden of big government. The living standard of the workers is reduced.
Thus Goodspaceguy says that the voters have been reducing the living standard of the workers by voting for the big spending candidates, promoted by the media. Please, lighten the burden carried by the workers and vote instead for small spenders who understand economics.

Goodspaceguy Says Washington State Should Publish A Printed Primary Election Voters Pamphlet

Dear fellow Sheeple,
The State of Washington is holding a primary election, ending Tuesday, August 17, 2010.
But, dear Sheeple, your chosen political power structure of the State of Washington has decided that it won’t print and distribute a voters’ pamphlet to go along with this primary election covering all the candidates who have filed and paid their filing fees with the Washington Secretary of State.
But then, after the many bleating voices of the small-spending candidates are eliminated in the primary election, then your chosen leaders will print and distribute a voters’ pamphlet for the general election for the surviving big-spending candidates so that the voices of the big spenders can be even better heard.
Goodspaceguy says that this is wrong. The state should treat all candidates equally. If only one voters’ pamphlet is to be printed and distributed, it should be for all the candidates. Therefore it should be for the primary election, not the general election. All candidates should be covered by the state. The state should not give preferred treatment to the big-spending candidates.
Goodspaceguy says that the big-spenders create the big government that shears you and markets you, my fellow sheeple.
However, the power structures of King County and a few other counties should be praised. The power structures of a few counties have decided to make up for this deficiency by Washington State Government by publishing and distributing a printed vote pamphlets for the primary election in their counties.
But, unfortunately, many other counties will not make up for this failure of state government. In many counties, the voters will not receive a printed primary guide from the state to inform them about the statements of the state candidates.
Some people think that government should help more in the funding of elections. I, Goodspaceguy, think that our Washington State Government through the Washington Secretary of State should publish and distribute at least a printed primary voters’ pamphlet in the Primary Election. This would be fair to all the candidates who filed through the Washington Secretary of State.
In conclusion, Goodspaceguy says again that all candidates should be treated equally. If your Washington State chosen power structure is going to put out only one printed voters’ guide, it should be for the primary election instead of for the general election. In the primary voters guide, the voices of all the candidates can be read … so that the small-spending, bleating candidate voices from among the sheeple can be heard before the next shearing and marketing of the sheeple.
In the general election, usually it is only the big-spending, surviving wolves who are heard.

Goodspaceguy says:
Losses create layoffs!
Profits create jobs.!
When expenses grow in a business and revenues decline, a point is reached where the revenues will no longer cover wages, and layoffs happen. People lose their jobs.
It is possible to maintain full employment, but many people are unwilling to do that which is necessary to maintain a full employment economy.
When I, Goodspaceguy, lived in Sweden, Sweden had a full-employment economy at that time. Full employment is possible, but difficult. The power structure often sabotages the economy.
Some employees in a business would rather receive unemployment compensation through a layoff, instead of a wage reduction that might allow the employees to keep their jobs.
The severety of a recessions and the unemployment rate indicate how badly the power structure has sabotaged the economy. The people are part of the power structure.
There are always some businesses near the border between losses and profits. Raising expenses slightly or losing revenues slightly will push these trembling business into loss country and layoffs. People will lose their jobs. Unemployment increases. The living-standard goes down as fewer goods and services are produced.
When government or society increases the expense of doing business, some people lose their jobs.
Instead of continuing to raise expenses and continuing to abolish jobs, let's abolish the job-destroying minimum wage and the other causes of losses.
Let us praise profit. Profits call workers back into the work force. Increasing profits, increases jobs. The path to employment is the path to profits. Let us do what is necessary to increase profits so that people can find jobs.
As profits go up, work goes up, production of goods and service go up. The living standard of the people goes up.
Protect Profits. Protect production. Produce a rising living standard. Produce profit-making jobs.
Defend the competitive, free market from the sabotage that produces loses.
Abolish the job-destroying minimum wage.

Question 1: What are your priorities, especially as they relate to parks and green spaces in Seattle?

Answer: I, Goodspaceguy, want to increase access to the parks by increasing free parking, and I want to increase access by keeping the parks always open, (for example, for lovers and for gay astronomers) and by providing showers for users of the parks.

Question 2: What do you see as the main issues facing Seattle’s parks and green spaces, and what is one innovative idea or change you think would help address these issues?

Answer: Lack of use. I, Goodspaceguy, want more free parking and showers. Sweaty people stink. I, Goodspaceguy, believe that showers would help solve this problem by enabling park users to exercise and then shower themselves promptly clean. Also I would like to establish campgrounds in some of the parks.

Question 3: How would you help preserve public funding for maintenance, improvements and additions to parks and green spaces in Seattle?

Answer: As an accountant and as an economist, I, Goodspaceguy, have been advocating that we un-sabotage our economy so that jobs become plentiful, so that we can create a stable economy of jobs for everyone whom we can coax into the labor exchange market. Also, I, Goodspaceguy, favor job sharing. Also, as an economist, I, Goodspaceguy advocate that we give support to the job-destroying minimum wage by requiring government to hire helpers at the minimum wage to help care for the parks.

Question 4: What is your vision for Seattle’s central waterfront?

Answer: I, Goodspaceguy, want to strengthen and beautify the viable viaduct. Through this process, I, Goodspaceguy, want to greatly increase easy access of the people to the waterfront from downtown. I want to build pedestrian walkways and viewing towers over the viaduct. I, Goodspaceguy, want to add greenery to the viaduct so that when people sail into Seattle from Elliot Bay and see the greenery of the viaduct, they will think, “Ah, this is the beautiful emerald city of Seattle. Seattle is a castle in King County.”
My Goodspaceguy Viaduct Beautification Plan will be much more affordable than the Terribly Depressive Tunnel Plan. We should save taxpayer dollars by stopping the Terrible Tunnel.

Question 5: Please describe any work you’ve done – professional, political or volunteer – related to parks.

Answer: I, Goodspaceguy, as a user of the parks, occasionally pick-up trash in the parks. I carry plastic bags in my van for this purpose.

Question 1: Please tell us about your community involvement with human
services.

Goodspaceguy’s Answer: For about 3 years before returning to Washington State, I, Goodspaceguy, worked as an accountant in Minneapolis, Minnesota in the large Hennepin County department that funded agencies in the mental health, mental retardation, and chemical dependencies areas.

Question 2: What do you see as the most pressing human service needs in your community and how do you plan to address those needs? Are these needs different in East King County versus other parts of the County? If so, how?

Goodspaceguy’s Answer: The most pressing human service need is the need for employment, and there is a great need for employment throughout King County. As an economist, I, Goodspaceguy, plan to use the principles of economics to make it easier for everyone whom we can coax into the labor market to find employment. I want to get as many people as possible into the job market, where these people can help produce the goods and the services that will help raise their standard-of-living in our labor exchange market.

Question 3: The current recession has again illustrated how vulnerable the funding mechanisms for human services are. Social service agencies are being required to do more with less, which is an all too familiar pattern and one that prevents us from making the strides we know we’re capable of. What do you see as the responsibilities of your jurisdiction when it comes to sustainable funding for human services? What, if anything, needs to be done differently to strengthen human services funding?

Goodspaceguy’s Answer: In King County, I, Goodspaceguy, as an economist, state that it is the responsibility of King County government to un-sabotage the job market in King County so that everyone who is willing to work can obtain employment. A full-employment local economy provides better funding and more stable funding than our current sabotaged economy. The number of people without jobs indicates the degree of sabotage of the local King County economy. Also many people refuse to support the minimum wage. They refuse to hire unemployed people at the minimum wage.
I, Goodspaceguy, want us to do the things (often unpopular) that are economically necessary to create full-employment and stable, balanced funding. Prices are significantly determined by wages.

Question 4: Given the budget constraints all jurisdictions are experiencing, where do you see human services in the hierarchy of needs? Why?

Goodspaceguy’s answer: To raise the quality-of-life in King County, I, Goodspaceguy, want a balanced economy. There are true human service needs that we need to take care of. We need to look at the whole picture of life-in-King-County to determine to which areas we need to move resources. When not sabotaged, the powerful, competitive free market excels at the achieving of full employment balance in our local economy. Our local governments are responsible for our local economy.

Question 5: Both health and human services are part of our mission. Are you in support of a stable source of long term funding for public health services? If so, what might your strategy look like? If not, please share your thoughts.

Goodspaceguy’s answer: As an economist, it is my (Goodspaceguy’s) goal to raise the quality-of-life in King County. The true funding comes in the form of human labor. (Money is only a symbol.) We have so, so much human labor (funding) which our broken King County region is not using. People are available to work. I want us to use all the labor that we can coax into the sabotaged job market.
Also, audits of agencies receiving county funds should include performance audits. Using the principles of the science of economics, I plan to work to transform King County from a county of unemployment into a jobs-friendly county wherein there will be employment for everyone whom we can coax into the job market. As employment rises, the stability of long-term funding should increase.
Also, since our economy has been sabotaged, we should encourage those people who want to help build up the living-standard to ask for less compensation so that they can get back to work producing the goods and the services that will raise the living-standard. There is much work that needs to be done, but in our sabotaged economy, the compensation asked for has become too, too high.
When profit decreases, people get laid-off and funding decreases. When people restore profit by asking for less, people get hired and funding resumes.

As an amateur astronomer, I, Goodspaceguy, believe that global warming and global cooling are caused by small variations in the nuclear energy output of the Sun.

I do not believe that carbon dioxide (CO2) is causing global warming on Spaceship Earth. (I, Goodspaceguy, request that you think of our planet Earth as a spaceship traveling in the Milky Way Galaxy, and please think of yourselves as crew members of our Spaceship Earth.)

Carbon dioxide makes up less than 1% of our atmosphere. Carbon dioxide is needed by the vegetation of Spaceship Earth to make our food and our lumber. Also, as we give carbon dioxide to the plants of Spaceship Earth, the plants split the carbon dioxide and give us back oxygen to breathe. Carbon dioxide is needed to keep our plants producing more and more food and wood for our growing human population. (There is an on-going explosion in the number of human passengers on Spaceship Earth ... six billion passengers and climbing.)

It is our Sun that is the primary nuclear energy pump for our solar system. From the Great Gas and Dust Cloud that formed our solar system, let us say that about 99% of it was pulled by mutual gravity into and formed our Sun. Only about 1 % of the original cloud of gas and dust that formed our solar system remained in orbit around our Sun. This remaining 1 % of the Great Gas Cloud formed the eight or more planets, the more than 100 moons, the many asteroids, comets, meteors, and the residual of dust and gas.

Since our Sun is the massive center of our solar system, its nuclear energy output is rather constant. But still the nuclear energy that our Sun pumps out varies slightly over time. causing our ice ages between our ages of global warming. When our Sun pumps out more nuclear energy, we have global warming. When our Sun pumps out less nuclear energy, we have global cooling and the ice ages.

Because a camp fire is small, it is easy to feel the changing energy output of a camp fire. First the energy output increases as the camp fire is started. Then the energy output decreases as the fuel is burned. Then the energy output increases as more logs are added to the camp fire. Then the energy output decreases as the camp fire uses up its fuel and burns out.

Unlike a camp fire, our Sun is massive, and so the nuclear energy output from the Sun is more even. But the Sun has cycles. For example, it seems to have an eleven year Sunspot cycle, during which our Sun's nuclear energy output changes slightly. Our Sun may even have other longer cycles or causes of change in its nuclear energy output.

About a thousand years ago, Vikings from Iceland discovered that southwest Greenland was green enough and warm enough to farm. The several Viking colonies in Greenland lasted for several hundred years.
Then global cooling and ecological damage wiped out the Viking colonies in Greenland. The global cooling even made it possible for the Dutch in Europe to skate on the frozen canals of Holland. I, Goodspaceguy, believe this little ice age was caused by a slight decrease in the nuclear energy output from our Sun. (It is normal for the energy output from natural heat sources to vary. It varies only slightly for the Sun because the Sun is so massive.)

Life requires energy, which our Sun delivers to us. Global warming has a good side. On Spaceship Earth, global warming produces more fresh water. As our Sun sends more energy to Spaceship Earth, more water evaporates from the salty oceans. (Our Spaceship Earth is a water world. About 70 % of our planet is covered with water. The land makes up only about 30 % of the surface of our Spaceship Earth.) The evaporated water, powered by our atomic Sun, rises up into the cooler altitudes of our atmosphere to form more clouds. As this distilled and cooled water vapor forms more clouds, these clouds eventually freshens the land with increased fresh-water rainfall. More rain, more fresh water is a good thing.

But as the heat from a slightly hotter atomic Sun causes more evaporation of water from the salty seas and thereby causes more fresh-water clouds, the tops of this increasing cloud cover is a bright white color that reflects some of the nuclear energy from our Sun back into space, and so some of the life-giving, nuclear energy from our Sun is lost to the people of our Spaceship Earth.

But your children and your children's childrens who will build the coming orbiting space colonies will be able to catch some of the direct energy from our Sun that misses the Earth. This direct energy from our atomic Sun will power the coming orbital space colonies for your descendants.

If our atomic Sun is increasing its nuclear energy output and thereby causing increasing global warming on our Spaceship Earth, then one could think that this has a positive result. For example, the Scandinavians could again farm Greenland. In fact, more of Canada could be farmed. Also more of Siberia could be farmed. Since we have so much land in the northern hemisphere of Spaceship Earth, global warming might increase the amount of land on Spaceship Earth that can be farmed. We could have more farming for the new people from the population explosion on Spaceship Earth ... over six billion people and climbing.

Because, like a massive camp fire, our atomic Sun changes its nuclear energy output over time, future global warming and future global cooling are to be expected.

Fellow crewmembers of Spaceship Earth, we will experience much difficulty in our striving to raise the quality-of-life on our Spaceship Earth. I request that each of you see what you can do to help in your town or rural area of our civilization to raise the quality-of-life. Also, I recommend studying economics. Raising the quality-of-life in our civilization will be a never-ending task. By building a better civilization on our Spaceship Earth, we have more ability, and we will have a better civilization to spread out into our solar system when we are able to get the ground-huggers to help us.

We need the ground-huggers. We can't build the beginning, orbital space colonies without them. The ground-huggers are the muscle of our civilization. The ground-huggers are the foundation of our economy. By making the ground-huggers more prosperous, their ability to help with the spreading of our civilization into space, starting with the building of the orbiting, baby space colonies, will be an easier and a more enjoyable task for them and for us who want us to expand our civilization upward into our solar system. We should try to make the ground, lands, and seas of Spaceship Earth more beautiful for both the ground-huggers and for us, the space colony builders.
Under competitive free market capitalism and democracy, we should think of the ground-huggers as mass royalty, and we space colony advocates as their advisors.

In Washington state, I, Goodspaceguy, have been trying to raise the quality-of-life through the political process with the long range goal of starting the beginning orbital, space colonies. But my attempts have been slammed back. Nine times, I ran for political office. Nine times, the voters said no to my program of improvements. My program has not been put into effect.

The problems and misery continues. People who should be working remain unemployed. The people who are willing to work should be working, producing the goods and services that are necessary to raise the living standard. We should make it easy for the passengers of Our Spaceship Earth to get into the labor force, to become crew members of Our Spaceship Earth.

Billions and billions of dollars of productivity are lost each year on Spaceship Earth from the failure to use the labor of people who are willing to work.

This is the tenth time that I, Goodspaceguy, am a candidate for public office, but I am slammed back; I am censored; I am not allowed to speak. I showed up, but the Police Chiefs of King County did not allow me to speak, but did allow five of the other seven candidates for the position of King County Executive to speak. I and candidate Alan Lobdell and candidate Stan Lippmann were not invited. I was not welcomed when I showed up.
I am prosperous because I am a small spender. Perhaps the Police Chiefs were only allowing the big spenders to speak. It is the big spenders who enlarge government and lower the living standard by increasing waste, by increasing taxes, and by decreasing the incentive to work.

Then at another candidates' forum, I was again not allowed to speak. In the morning of Thursday, 6-25-2009, uninvited, I showed up at a King County Executive Candidates Forum put on by the Executive Alliance and other not-for-profit groups. Only six of the eight candidates had been invited. I was not invited, but I showed up anyway. Physicist and attorney Stan Lippmann was also not invited.

At first the organizers of the Executive Alliance made room for me. Then (perhaps someone spoke to them?) the organizers of the Executive Alliance came again to me and informed me that I would not be allowed to speak. I don't know why. Their explanation was a phony explanation. I really don't know why the organizers of the Executive Alliance thought things would be better by preventing me from being part of the candidates' forum.

But all was not lost. At least at the end of the candidates' forum, one of the organizer informed the audience that I, Goodspaceguy, one of the candidates, was also present, but had not been able to speak.
This made the audience aware that I had come to this candidates' forum. And one person told me that she would have liked to hear me speak and wondered why I, Goodspaceguy, had not been able to speak.

Then in the evening of the same day (Thursday, 6-25-2009) all eight candidates showed up at the Twin Falls Middle School for the candidates' forum in Fall City, Washington. Gary and Jennifer Francher, the organizers, informed me (Goodspaceguy) and physicist Stan Lippmann that we would not be allowed on the candidates panel. Therefore, the attention of the audience and press was mainly directed to the six candidates whom Gary and Jennifer Francher allowed on the panel.

Often the smaller spending candidates are not acknowledge in the media and are not invited to the candidate forums. For example: candidates Goodspaceguy, Alan Lobdell and Stan Lippmann were not only not invited to Green Choice Debate of the Washington Environmental Council to be held at Town Hall on 6-30-2009, they are also not acknowledged as candidates. In the Green Choice Debate announcement it says falsely that there only 5 candidates for the position of King County Executive, when the truth is that there are 8 candidates. Misinformation like this makes it hard to hold back the growing of big government. (Please, vote for the small spending candidates.)

Some centuries have greatness in them. In about the last hundred years, we Earthlings
developed cars, radios, airplanes, movies, television and computerization. We moved from
the Horse and Buggy Age into the start of the Space Age. Some areas of Science Fiction have and are becoming reality. Now a great goal for this new century is to build the Fantastic Future in King County!

Goodspaceguy has studied economics and many of the methods for raising the living standard and improving the quality-of-life. Let’s continue the greatness of the Twentieth Century into our new Twenty-first Century.

Let’s reduce crime and raise the living standard in King County by obtaining employment for everyone who is willing to work. Idleness promotes crime, but work produces both the income and the goods and services that make-up our living standard.

The unemployment rate indicates how badly our leaders have sabotaged our job market.
Let us use our unemployed people! Unemployment is a huge waste!

Our government should back its minimum wage by employing as helpers those people (including people with problems) who apply for work at the minimum wage.

Because some workers want more leisure, government should lead by creating many flexible, part-time employment programs, such as the three day and four day work week options.

My studies of economics has caused me to conclude that the competitive free market produces the highest living standard for the people.

But government frequently sabotages the competitive free market. This sabotage of the marketplace lowers the living standard of the people. If we could get more people to study economics, more people would see how the living standard is being lowered or kept from rising.

The minimum wage should be changed to be that wage at which government is willing to hire all comers. Currently, the various governments in King County refuse to support the minimum wage with jobs to all comers. Instead the governments overpay the special and powerful people and so there is no money left over for the people-with-problems who would be willing to work for the minimum wage.

We have been suffering from a world population explosion (the population explosion is the cause of many of the world problems, such as genocide) with many people from the population explosion fleeing to King County.

Should we establish head taxes in King County to slow the flood of people into King County from the world’s population explosion?

Head taxes would be much more pleasant than the old, cruel methods of population control, such as: starvation, disease, murder, and war. Spaceship Earth now has to support more than three people for every one person she supported a hundred years ago. The population on Spaceship Earth continues to grow and grow, and the illegal immigration into King County from other parts of Spaceship Earth continues to grow and grow. (Some time in the future, it will become legal for people to travel freely on Spaceship Earth as Americans can currently travel freely in the United States.)

Education and technological development and head taxes are some good solutions to the population explosion. The one-child per family policy and the switch to capitalism seems to be raising the living standard at an impressive rate in China.

Starting with the homeless, let us make life better through employment for all who are willing to work. We should increase employment in the private sector, and we should make government the back-up employer for “helpers” who want minimum wage employment.

To glorify King County, we, through our government, should try to make it easier to grow the movie-making industry in King County by having our government co-operate with moviemakers.

To reduce traffic congestion, let us abolish government restrictions on the height of buildings and become more ecologically friendly by making it easier and less costly to build high-rise condominiums and apartments (sky-homes). Let us build better sky-homes than the people of Vancouver, Canada have built.

By abolishing height-restrictions and allowing many sky-homes to be built in King County, let us allow people to choose whether they want to live in ground-hugging homes or in tall, tall sky-homes.

To increase the quality of life and reduce the stress level, let us ask government to increase free and easy parking. If you pay a lot of gas tax, you should ask for more free parking. Parking should be considered part of the road system.

Let us make it easier for people to obtain knowledge by increasing the open hours of libraries and increasing the accessibility to libraries and accessibility to colleges. Let us also promote part-time work and part-time study.

To lower the cost of medical care, let us allow more people to work and compete in medical care.

This Thursday morning, June 11, 2009, I, Goodspaceguy, took part in a pleasant King County Executive Candidates' Forum put on by Futurewise from 7:30 ot 9:30 in the morning at the Seattle Central Public Library. I was one of six King County Executive candidates who showed up for this Futurewise event. I was pleased that I was seated on the candidates panel by the gracious organizers.

After we finished this well-run candidates forum put on by Futurewise, I, Goodspaceguy, drove south to Burien (I spend a lot of time in Burien) to the Criminal Justice Training Center (which is owned by the public.)

Five of the candidates for King County Executive were already there. I informed Burien Police Chief K. Kimerer (the person in charge) that I was one of the candidates for King County Executive, but Burien Police Chief Kimerer refused to allow me on the panel of candidates for this free forum (open to the public) of candidates that was taking place on property owned by the public and put on by the King County Police Chiefs Association, (the chiefs being public employees.)

The Burien Police Chief could have graciously seated me on the stage with the 5 candidates already there, but it seemed that he felt it important that I, Goodspaceguy, not be allowed to speak. I paid my $1,860.38 filing fee to become a candidate because I have a lot of ideas for improvements in King County, and the Burien Police Chief prevented me from communicating my ideas to the public and the press at this candidates forum.

The invitation that I read in the Wednesday, June 10, 2009 edition of the Highline Times stated, "The candidates running for King County Executive are invited to the forum, which is open to the public and press."

The next day, I read in the Seattle Times: "- Goodspaceguy, Stan Lippmann and Alan Lobdell- were not invited." I, Goodspaceguy, never received a personal invitation. Neither did Stan nor Alan. I only received an invitation by having read about the event in the Seattle Times and Highline Times, and then I was rejected by the Burien Police Chief when I arrived at the candidates forum.

Three times I approached Burien Police Chief Kimerer and asked him to allow me to join my fellow candidates on stage. Three times Kimerer refused me. Kimerer seemed upset that I was asking to take my place with my fellow candidates.

I told Kimerer that he was censoring me and asked him if he was opposed to my program?
Kimerer said that he didn't know what my program was.

Since Kimerer did not allow me to speak as a candidate, none of the police chiefs in attendance heard me speak about what a wonderful program I claim I have. The police chiefs, the public, and the press did not hear my ideas for improvement at this public event. I was censored.

We should try to make King County into one of the best counties in the nation. We should try to turn King County into one of the counties with the highest quality-of-life in the nation.

The police, supported by the taxpayers, should provide equal protection to all citizens, and the police should provide equal treatment to all candidates -- especially at a candidates forum open to the public and the press in a building owned by the public and supported by the taxpayers. It was wrong of the King County Police Chiefs' Association to favor 5 candidates over economist Goodspaceguy, and over engineer and public servant Alan Lobdell, and over physicist and attorney Stan Lippman.

Many reporters were present at this candidate forum, but I don't know if any reported to their audience that a legal candidate came to this public forum but was denied the right to speak ... was denied equal treatment. Under your rights of citizenship in our democracy, if you file as a candidate, you may not get equal treatment with the other candidates by the press and power structure unless you are a big, big spender. Small spenders like me are often excluded, and the voters only hear from the big, big government candidates. This helps build big government and helps reduce the living standard of the people.

I would have appreciated it if one of the five seated candidates up on the stage had spoken up in favor of inclusiveness, asking that I be seated with them on the candidates' panel, but, of course, none of the seated candidates did so.

The Partially “Random” Drawing for Candidate Order in the Voters Pamphlet and on the Ballot:
On Friday, June 5, 2009, at about 4:50 in the afternoon, I, Goodspaceguy, one of eight candidates for the position of King County Executive, drove into the parking lot in Renton of the King County Department of Elections. I was pleased that there were many free parking spaces available at this King County Election location. This ample parking is an improvement over the parking available at prior election department locations.

I wanted to observe the drawing that was to determine the candidate-order-of-appearance in the voters’ pamphlet and on the ballot. I assume that the candidates listed first in the voters’ guide and on the ballot have a slight advantage over those who follow in the voters’ guide and on the ballot.

At about 5:30 p.m. the drawing occurred in the lobby. I noticed that I was the only candidate present. There were also three King County employees present and Mike, a citizen activist. I found these people pleasant. I was pleased.

On the computer print-outs of the candidates for the many offices, there were listed eight candidates for King County Executive and eight candidates for Mayor of Seattle. Eight was the highest number of candidates for any office. My Goodspaceguy name was listed last on the computer print-out of the King County Executive candidates. I was Eight-of-eight. Not good.

Then the drawing took place. (I was pleased that this turned out to be a simple, low-tech drawing which meant it would cost the tax payers less money than a high-tech lottery method.)
Eight slips of paper, each slip of paper containing one of the numbers from one through eight, were placed in a cardboard box. The cardboard box was held up, and Mike, the citizen, fished in the box and one by one withdrew the eight numbers that would change the order of candidates from the order on the computer printouts to the order that these candidates would appear in the voters’ pamphlet and on the ballot.

After the “random” drawing, the second candidate on the computer list, remained the second candidate for the voters’ pamphlet and the ballot. The fourth candidate remained the fourth candidate. The eighth candidate (Goodspaceguy) remained the eighth candidate. What had gone wrong?

In hindsight, I think that at future elections, the slips of numbered papers should be folded up with many folds so that the slips of numbers can be more easily mixed. Then the folded slips of numbers should be mixed and mixed and mixed in the box to produce a truly random drawing.

As an amateur astronomer and as an amateur economist, who is now 70 years old, I, Goodspaceguy, wish to state that one of my many goals (and I hope one of your many goals) is that our Earth, our Spaceship Earth, should become the true homeland of everyone on Earth.

I, Goodspaceguy, hope that Spaceship Earth will become the homeland of the Jewish People. I hope that Spaceship Earth will become the homeland of the Palestinian People. I hope that Spaceship Earth will become the homeland of the American People and the Icelandic People.

As the United States has become the homeland of we Americans, and as we Americans have descended from all the nations of the Earth, and as we Americans have combined 50 different states into our union (with the possibility of adding more,) now it is time to start making Spaceship Earth into the homeland of all the nationalities of Earth.

Blessed be peace on Earth.

Also to create prosperity for the people of Spaceship Earth, I, Goodspaceguy, hope that you will help find pleasant ways of solving the overpopulation problem on Spaceship Earth in order to stop the destruction of the wilderness and the creatures of the wilderness. (Genocide is unpleasant. War is unpleasant. Starvation is unpleasant. Cannibalism is unpleasant.) The head tax is one of the pleasant solutions. The sale of birth permits is another one of the pleasant solutions. Social security is another one of the pleasant solutions. So is education and the building of prosperity.

For a more distant solution, let us think of the International Space Station up in the High Frontier, where solar power is abundant and waiting for us. Soon we will begin the colonization of Earth's orbital space. We should, in reality, learn how to colonize nearby orbital space before we send humans to live in Mars orbit or on the moons of Mars or Mars itself. Earth orbit is near. Mars is far away.
Using knowledge, let us move upward and also solve the overpopulation problem down here on Spaceship Earth.

Some centuries have greatness in them. In about the last hundred years, we Earthlings developed cars, radios, airplanes, movies, television, and computerization. We moved from the Horse and Buggy Age into the start of the Space Age. Some Areas of Science Fiction have and are becoming reality. Now a great goal for this new century is to build the Fantastic Future in King County!

I have studied economics and many of the methods for raising the living standard and improving the quality-of-life. Let's continue the greatness of the Twentieth Century into our new Twenty-first Century.

Let's reduce crime and raise the living standard in King County by obtaining employment for everyone who is willing to work. Idleness promotes crime, but work produces the income, and work produces the goods and services that raise our living standard.

Let's use our unemployed people! Unemployment is a huge waste! Our government should back its minimum wage by employing as helpers those people (including people-with-problems) who apply for work at the minimum wage.

Because some workers want more leisure, government should lead by creating many flexible, part-time employment programs, such as the three day and four day work week options.

We have been suffering from a world-wide population explosion (the population explosion is the cause of many of the world problems, such as genocide) with many people from the population explosion fleeing to King County.

Should we establish head taxes in King County to slow the flood of people into King County from the world's population explosion? Head taxes would be much more pleasant than the old, cruel methods of population control, such as: starvation, disease, murder, and war. Earth now has to support more than three people for every one person she supported a hundred years ago, and the population on Earth continues to grow and grow, and the world-wide illegal immigration into King County increases. Head taxes and education are some good solutions to the population explosion.

Starting with the homeless, let us make life better through employment for all who are willing to work. We should increase employment in the private sector, and we should make government the back-up employer for "helpers" who want minimum wage employment.

To glorify King County, we, through our government, should try to make it easier to grow the movie-making industry in King County by having our government co-operate with movie makers.

To reduce traffic congestion, let us abolish government restrictions on the height of buildings and become more ecologically friendly by making it easier and less costly to build high-rise condominiums and apartments. Let us build better sky-dwellings than the people of Vancouver Canada have built. Let us increase the housing supply to slow the upward movements of rents and housing costs.

To increase the quality of life and reduce the stress level, let us ask government to increase free and easy parking. If you pay a lot of gas tax, you deserve more free parking. Parking should be considered part of the road system.

Let us make it easier for people to obtain knowledge by increasing the open hours of libraries and accessibility to libraries and to colleges. Let us also promote part-time work and part-time study.

To lower the cost of medical care, let us allow more people to work and compete in medical care.

Goodspaceguy Nelson received his Master of Science Degree from the University of Minnesota. Goodspaceguy previously studied for 3 years in Stockholm University in Sweden, having already earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Germany.

* In our nuclear age, our overpopulated Spaceship Earth has become too, too small for war. We need to start transferring some of our military resources into peace making. We can use our embassies to help with the spreading of knowledge of how to increase peace. (For example, employment for everyone would help.)

* The causes of war exists in the minds of humans and in the struggle for scarce resources.

* We currently have put too much of our resources into our war machine. For our own benefit, we need to help promote a law-and-order Spaceship Earth of protection of life and property and incentive and safety.

* World-wide free trade would help. On our Spaceship Earth, it doesn't make sense to bomb our customers, and it doesn't make sense to bomb our suppliers.

* Employment for everyone in Iraq and on our Spaceship Earth is a good way to reduce crime and terrorism. People who work have a decreased incentive to destroy. The better people become at working, the less time they have to engage in crime.

* Scientists tell us that all humans are related, that we humans populated Africa and wandered into the Middle East, into Europe, into Asia, into Australia and the islands, and into the Americas. Thus we Americans (who come from all the nations of Spaceship Earth) and the people of Iraq are distant relatives.

* But what return are we Americans getting on our current investment of dollars and soldiers in Iraq? Our return on investment appears to be insufficient.

* Our military has proven that its officers-in-charge haven't studied or haven't mastered the building of civilization. The powers-that-be have not gotten employment to all the available workers in Iraq. The waste is huge ... so much labor not being used ... so much idle labor from which to recruit terrorists. Iraq is in a terrible human-made economic depression.

* Nation and civilization building never ends. Is the building-up of Iraq not a long-term job for the people living in Iraq, building up their new democracy and their economy? Should we not, therefore, begin our pull-out? We do have many other uses for the money and lives which we are currently investing in Iraq.

* Instead of wasting our money and soldiers in Iraq, would it not be better to do state building in the state of Washington? Improvement is often best obtained by competition and by leading by example. By building up Washington State, we lead Iraq by providing a good example for the people of that ancient civilization to follow.

* We Americans with our high, technoloical civilization are connected with the Iraqis in that they are living in the land of one of the beginning civilizations.

* Iraq now occupies the land of proud earlier civilizations: for example, in Mesopotamia (middle between the rivers of the Tigris and the Euphrates ) about 5 or 6 thousand years ago, the Sumerians began building early cities and developed early writing. The ancient Sumerians of Iraq helped build early civilization. (Other members of our human family must have begun civilization even earlier, but I just don't know much about them. Let us assume that early civilization building started before our records of that civilization building.)

* In area, Iraq is about 7 % larger than California. California has about 37 million people, while Iraq has an estimated 27 million people, with a high unemployment rate.

* Because of the high unemployment rate, the Iraqis have a huge labor pool from which terrorists and suicide bombers can be recruited.

* Or from out of the current Iraqian, terrible economic depression, students of economics and other useful subjects can be recruited or other builders-of-society can be recruited.

* Because the overpopulated, desert nation of Iraq is in an economic depression, this is a wonderful time for some of the unemployed to become students to learn the many skills required to build a modern nation. The students can study and gain the economic knowledge that already exists in books and which inform their readers about how economic depressions can be ended and replaced with employment for everyone who wants employment.

* In buiding peace and productivity in Iraq, the Iraqis might do well to use Switzerland as a model. Long ago the German mountain people, the French mountain people, and the Italian moutain people chose to become the productive Swiss nation in the Alps. Their system of unity of different people is favorably impressive.

* The economists of Iraq can tell the people of Iraq how to employ their unused, available labor (the unemployed Iraqis) in the building up of Iraq. Unfortunately, human beings often refuse to study the principles of economics, and human beings have difficulty understanding what the economists are saying. (It is as if economists speak in the same illegible style that physicians use to write perscriptions.)

* Because of the huge abundance of un-used Iraqian labor, the labor of the American soldiers is not needed. Hiring Iraqian police and detectives would be so much cheaper! If the Iraqian people don't want to listen to the Iraqian economists and professors of democracies, I don't see why anymore American soldiers should be wounded or killed.

* With technology, we can now spread civilization all over our Spaceship Earth and even out into our Solar System by way of the coming, orbital space colonies that should have started in the 1970's after President Kennedy and President Johnson succeeded in getting us to the Moon in 1969.

* Technology is pulling our human family closer together. For example, the technology of the cell phone, the internet, mass media, movies, television, orbiting communication satellites, international trade, and vacations are all pulling our human family back together.

* Gradually, year by year, in our growing, technological age, Spaceship Earth will become the homeland of all Earthlings. Spaceship Earth will become the homeland of the Kurds, of the Chinese, of the Icelanders, of the Africans, of the Danes, of the Jews, of the Swedes, of the Americans, of the Indians, of the Norwegians, of all the ethnic groups of the Earth. We are all related. There will be much culture shock.

* It seems to me that in Iraq, American soldiers can't do the remaining job that needs to be done. The remaining job needs to be done by the Iraqis. More Iraqi police and Iraqi detectives and Iraqi economists are needed. The Iraqis understand the language and the culture of Iraq much, much better than do our American soldiers. We should start bringing our American soldiers home. Our soldiers did their job of removing Sadman Insane, the torturer (I hate torture;) and our soldiers helped with the establishment of a beginning democracy. It is now time for the Iraqis to start listening to their economists and their teachers of democracy, and it is time for the Iraqis to take over more of the building of their country.

* With each religious killing, the fires of hate are kept ablaze. ...

* Economic lessons, economic instruction promoting full employment should help build peace and prosperity.

* Through our embassies, we should spread the concept of "Separation of church and state"
We should spread the concept of democracy instead of theocracy. Although the people of democracy might vote in a theocracy.
We should, nevertheless, continue to spread the concept of free will of the individual and separation of church and state.
We should also spread the concept that it is a good idea to study science.

* Through our advancing technology, we should spread the concept that we are the human family traveling in the Milky Way Galaxy on our Spaceship Earth.

Five years ago to this day, terrorists bombed the World Tade Center in New York City and the Pentagon just outside of Washington D.C.

Each election in King County, the Municipal League, a milder terrorists organization, harms candidates by giving some of them bad evaluations. Our society is also harmed by these bad rankings of some of the candidates. These candidates should instead be praised for trying to improve our society by being competitors.

In our society, we achieve improvements by promoting competition, but the Municipal League of King County discourages candidate competition by giving bad evaluations to some of the candidates. The Municipal League should instead be praising these candidates for running and thereby pushing the other candidates to do better and become better. Even the weaker candidates gain knowledge and become better and gain knowledge by running for office.

We are a competitve society. To raise the living standard, we need to encourage competition.
In that the Municiple League discourages political competion, some races have only a single candidate, and the voters have no choice, and our democracy is weakened. We voters are better off when we have a choice among candidates.

My impression has been that the greater the economic knowledge of the candidates, the worse the evaluations these candidates receive from the volunteers of the Municipal League of King County. But candidates with economic knowledge are really beneficial to our society.

I suspect that many of the volunteers (who are passiing out harsh judgement on some of the candidates) would themselves do poorly on a basic economics principles examinations. Many of the volunteers would probably fail a basic economics principles examination. I am guessing that the candidates rated "NOT QUALIFIED" would score higher than the volunteers and perhaps even higher than those who received an "OUTSTANDING" evaluation from the volunteers.

In other words, I believe that all the candidates should be praised for increasing competition.

The Municipal League says that it "does not consider candidates' political affiliations or stands on issues. Rather, these ratings focus on each candidate's potential for effectiveness in office and ability to serve the community."

But this is wrong. If the candidates stands on issues are not considered, then Hitlers and tyrants could get "outstanding" ratings for ability and effectiveness in caring out the plans of the "superior" people.

I believe that such a Municipal League rating system in NAZI Germany would have given Hitler a rating of "OUTSTANDING."

I want "superior" people with bad, harmful plans to lose to "not qualified" candidates with good plans. I want the Hitlers of the world to lose. I want the candidates' stands on issues to be considered.

Since 1910 the Municipal League has been rating some candidates badly. Now in 2006 we have many terrible, terrible problems in King County, Washington. The Municipal League should stop rating candidates badly. The Municipal League should stop rating candidates and should start studing the principles of economics. This would help to improve King County.

* I am of the sheeple, and I am tired of being shorn. One of my methods of saying baaaa to the big spenders and special interests who shear us and abuse us is to run for public office. I come from near the center of the flock, and my protests are usually ignored. It is hard for the other sheeple to hear me because I am a small spender, and I am usually ignored by most of the mass media.
* Usually the mass media (such as the major newspapers) promotes the big spending candidates (often the current office holder and any really big spending challenger, who are financed by the special interests.) The news papers promote and advance the big spenders by reporting on them again and again and again. But the newspapers usually are silent about the sheeple candidates, who spend so little money. The newspapers report as if these other candidates from the flock don't exist.
* The mass media helps to retard the living standard by promoting the big spending candidates and ignoring the small spending candidates because the big spenders create the big government that wastes so much of the tax payers money, and the living standard is lowered.
* By reading the newspapers, the voting sheeple come to recognize the names of the big spending candidates, who will be shearing them and taking them to market. We sheeple tend to vote for the big spenders -- even those many of these big spenders will be wasting our money.
* The newspapers and big media do not educate their sheeple audiences about the solutions advocated by the small spenders. Usually, I am unheard and my solutions are ignored and the same problems continue year after year after year.
* But by reading the big newspapers, you will rarely read about the small spending, political challengers. Therefore, you don't learn very much from the newspapers about what the small spending, sheeple candidates are advocating. If some are advocating some real solutions, you don't learn much about the solutions recommended by the small spenders. It is almost as if these small spending, sheeple candidates don't exist.
* Then we sheeple go to vote, and we usually vote for the big spending candidates about whom we have heard so much from the media. The mass media has choosen to promote the big spenders. These are the candidates who are bad for us, but we vote for them because they have been publicized by the mass media.
* With the votes from us sheeple, the big spenders usually win their elections, and become or continue to be big spending elected office holders who market us.
* These big spending office holders, who are bad for us, are indebted to the special interests that financed the big spending campaigns.
* Pay back time has arrived.
* So the victorious, big spenders take the taxes from the wallets and purses of us, the sheeple, and pass the big spending programs desired by the special interests that financed the elections.
* Thus by our votes for the big spenders, we sheeple have lowered our own living standard.
* When we waste our money on ourselves, we get much more pleasure and benefit than when the big spending office holders waste our money on the special projects of the special interests that finance the big spending election campaigns.
* Therefore when a big spending office holder or candidate raises millions and millions and millions of dollars for an election campaign, can this be good for us, the sheeple? Of course not!
* Does the raising of millions and millions and millions of dollars for an election campaign mean that we sheeple are going to continue to get shorn? Yes, it does.
* A possible protest by us sheeple would be to vote for the small spenders, but the media hasn't educated us about the small spenders, so we don't know them.
* We, the sheeple, will probably continue to be shorn.

* I ask you to help promote the concept that all our relatives own Spaceship Earth.
* We are all related. Scientists tell us that we are all related. Scientists have discovered that long ago some members of our human family wandered out of Africa, the home continent. Humans wandered into the Middle East, into Europe, into Asia, into Australia, into the Americas. Thus we are all related.
* With the population explosion, Spaceship Earth has become very crowded. (Education, employment, and the head tax are some of the solutions to the overcrowding problem on our Spaceship Earth.)
* In the future, as more and more humans learn the benefits of and the how-to-do-it of Orbital Space Colonization, the growing, free market, democratic, orbiting space colonies will become a relief valve for the climbing population on Spaceship Earth, like the United States has become a relief valve for the population explosion in Mexico and other less developed countries.
* It is now time to start thinking of Spaceship Earth as the homeland of everyone. Thus Spaceship Earth is the real homeland of the Kurds, of the Danes, of the Jews, of the Indians, of the Chinese, of the Europeans, of the Americans, of the islanders, of the Africans, of the Asians.
* Spaceship Earth is the homeland of everyone. We are family.
* In our nuclear age, our Spaceship Earth has become too, too small for war.
* We should become peace seekers and civilizers and educators.
* To knit our world-wide family together, we should be promoting world-wide, competitive, free trade in which we pay for our imports with our exports. (The rest of the world is giving us Americans about a two year time plan to pay for our imports, which I think is a good deal for us Americans.) So our exports have been going up, up, and up. More and more Americans are working in our export industries where we have a comparative advantage, and Washington State with its ports and export industries is a state whose people have really been benefiting from international trade.
* We Americans come from all the nations of the Earth. We are already a model of our future Spaceship Earth united.
* Please help make Spaceship Earth the true homeland of us Americans also. Think about adopting your favourite foreign area of Spaceship Earth. Buy some vacation land there, or just travel there for vacation or business, functioning as a private citizen ambassador. Perhaps, help establish law and order and democracy and incentive and protection of individuals and their property in your adopted foreign section of our Spaceship Earth.
* We should become Earthlings as the people of the early United States gradually became Americans, with a bigger world view than when they were just New Yorkers or Virginians or ...
* As we gradually become Earthlings, the old nationalities that divide our human family will become less important.

As a long-time advocate of space colonization, I became a candidate from Washington State for the United States Senate, having filed Monday, July 24, 2006. More specifically, I am an advocate of Orbital Space Colonization.

* Some centuries have greatness in them. In about the last hundred years, we Earthlings developed cars, radios, airplanes, movies, television, and computerization. We moved from the Horse and Buggy Age into the start of the Space Age. Some areas of Science Fiction have and are becoming reality. Now a great goal for this new century is Orbital Space Colonization. Let’s build the Fantastic Future! Let’s spread the life of Spaceship Earth out into our Solar System! I know many of the methods. Let’s continue the greatness of the Twentieth Century into our new Twenty-first Century,.
* With help from NASA, let’s start the seeds of several small and growing orbital space colonies in orbit around Earth, around the Moon, and then around Mars. With all the money we have already spent on our space programs, we should already have these growing, orbital space colonies. Unfortunately, much of our space money has been wasted. It is as if our leaders have not been educated in orbital space colonization. The waste and destruction of tax payers’ space property shows a lack of understanding of space colonization.
* Our Spaceship Earth is becoming too, too small for war! Therefore, we should replace war on our Spaceship Earth with world-wide free trade. It doesn’t make sense to bomb world-wide customers and suppliers. Instead of sending soldiers, let's knit our Spaceship Earth together by buying imports and paying for them with our exports.
* Let’s reduce crime and raise the living standard on Spaceship Earth by obtaining employment for everyone who is willing to work. Idleness creates crime and mental illness, but work produces the goods and services that raise our living standard.
Let’s use our unemployed people! Unemployment is a huge waste! Our government should back its minimum wage by employing those who (including people with problems) apply for the minimum wage programs.
* Because some workers want more leisure, government should lead by creating many flexible employment programs, such as the three day and four day work week options.
* We have been suffering from a world population explosion (the cause of many of our problems.) Let’s establish head taxes to stop the population explosion on our Spaceship Earth. Head taxes would be much more pleasant than the old, cruel methods of population control, such as starvation, disease, murder, and war. Spaceship Earth now has to support more than three people for every one person she supported a hundred years ago, and the population on Spaceship Earth continues to grow and grow, and the world-wide illegal immigration increases. Head taxes and education are some good solutions.

* Instead of putting so much money into the bureaucracies of the war machines, lets take some of that money and start putting it into promoting world-wide free trade and giving some of the money back to the workers so that they can increase their consumption of goods, service, and leisure. It would be so much better for the living standard on Spaceship Earth if we concentrated on buying and selling to each other instead of concentrating on how to defend against being killed by each other. Let's concentrate on getting employment for everyone on our Spaceship Earth.

* It is stupid to bomb customer and suppliers. It is stupid to make enemies. It is much better to make friends and build the purchasing power and production of the people of Spaceship Earth. Competitive, free world trade is one of the better paths to world peace.

* All humans are related, but many don't know this yet.

* As we decrease the amount of money going into the war machines, we can increase the money going to the police and the courts and the local democracies so that people all over Spaceship Earth can be safer in their lives and their possessions.

* We should promote local democracies instead of local war lords.

* If we promote world-wide free trade, then people all over our Spaceship Earth can concentrate on producing those things for the world market in which they have a comparative advantage. The world prices will come down, and the living standard of the workers will go up as less money is spent on destruction.

* The following is from one of my King County Executive candidate campaign flyers. It gives a summary of my 2005 plan for King County, Washignton. My excellent plan was endorsed in the September 2005 Democratic Primary Election by nine per cent of the Democrats voting in the King County Executive race. Thus, I succeeded in reaching third place out of three candidates in my attempt to raise the living standard.

Government should treat you better. Let's build more free parking. Let's improve King County so that your quality-of-life can go up. Let's put our un-employed people to work. Let's increase housing by building up into the sky. Let's decrease traffic and gas use by building up into the sky. Let's encourage the building of the movie-making industry here to glorify King County. Let's get helpers into our understaffed government agencies. Let's reduce the crime rate. Let's improve and beautify the viaduct. Let's move departments of King County out of the expensive downtown Seattle area. To strengthen our democracy, let's change to 1-2-3 preference voting and allow you to vote for whomever you want. Let's study the principles of free market economics and become the leading, free market county in the nation. Big government lowers the living standard of the people, but the people usually vote for the big spending candidates, who then build the big government that lowers the living standard.

Elected officials should receive visible pay.

By unchaining our free market, I would like us to surpass Stockholm Sweden, and surpass Heidelberg Germany, and most of all, I would like us to catch up with and surpass Vancouver Canada.

Through Boeing and other space companies, let's be involved in the coming colonization of space. By un-chaining the power of the free market, let's build King County into a leading county on our Spaceship Earth. Let's build a futuristic, workers paradise.

Let's make King County into a highly profitable place to employ people, with a choice of jobs for every worker. Losses lead to layoffs, but greater profits create greater employment.

We should increase employment by making the business climate so friendly and so profitable for employers that even the movie-making industry will grow here to glorify King County.

To surpass Vancouver, Canada, I want to make it much, much easier for people to find free parking. The best place to pay for parking is at the gas pump. Our high gas-tax-paying people deserve free parking. Let's reduce parking stress.

Through free parking, let's make continuing education at our under-utilized universities and community colleges and trade schools and libraries much more easily accessible. Free campus parking would turn our public institutions into better neighbors.

To lower the cost of housing, we should allow an increase in the supply of housing to be built, and the best direction-to-build, is to build up into the sky as the people of Vancouver Canada have done. Sky-scraping condominiums will lessen traffic congestion and urban sprawl by allowing more people to live up in the sky, closer to where they want to be.

The government imposed height restrictions have produced high housing prices and suburban sprawl and clogged traffic. We should abolish the height restrictions on buildings.

By not allowing the building of dwellings up into the sky, the government has changed farms and forests into low-level suburban housing areas of sprawl, which sprawl has clogged our streets with many cars. Build talll, slow sprawl.

In the mean time, shared living is a partial solution for some people to the current high housing prices caused by government.

We should concentrate on getting work for everyone who wants work. Labor cannot be stored. It must be used now, or else it is lost. When unchained, the free market and the government safety-net have the ability to hire everyone who is willing to work. The current waste of labor is huge.

Instead of pursuing a delaying plan to end homelessness in ten years, we should make homelessness unnecessary now ... through employment now. We should hire people-with-problems. We should hire the blind, hire the deaf, hire the amputees, hire the crippled, hire the old, hire the young, hire the retarded. We need their help. We need their labor to help build a higher living standard and to lower the crime rate.
But the minimum wage denies employment to many less-productive people. We should abolish the criminal minimum wage, which destroys low-value jobs and thereby destroys the lives of our less productive people and contributes to their misery and their homelessness. If we abolish the minimum wage, even people-with-problems, including the homeless, should be able to get work.

Government should become an employment safety net, hiring all comers as helpers in full-time and part-time work programs. Some work programs might even provide housing , clothing , and meals, as is done in the military.

The viaduct, which really, really moves a lot of traffic should be kept and re-enforced and improved and beautified. Think of hanging gardens and pedestrian walking and viewing areas.

Big government partly lowers the living standard of the people by cutting the size of the more productive free market sector of our economy, but the people (instead of voting for the small spending candidaates) usually vote for the big spending candidates, who then build the big government that lowers the living standard. By voting for the big spending candidates, the people are voting to lower their own living standard. I tend not to spend very much money, therefore a vote for me is a vote for a smaller government sector in our economy and a balancing, larger, competitive free market sector. Where this formula is employed, the living-standard of the people can go up ... a lot, which is my goal.

People elected to political office should receive pay of at least $1,000 per month for their work so that people without money can also run for the many non-paying or poorly paid offices.

Using the principles of competitive, free market economics, my goal is to help raise the living standard and the quality-of-life, starting with people-with-problems and with the homeless.

* Let's follow the profit path to prosperity. Profits equal jobs. Losses equal layoffs.

* Because government frequently sabotages the economy, government has a responsibility to employ all interested people (including people with problems) at whatever wage the government has determined to be its minimum for every human being. Let's transform welfare programs into employment programs.

* Sky dwellings in tall, tall buildings reduce traffic congestion, reduce fuel consumption, reduce stress, improve views, and bring people together.

* Abolish building height restrictions so that it becomes easier to build tall, tall buildings and thereby slow the urban sprawl that causes traffic congestion.

* Raise the living standard by increasing incentive and increasing employment.
* For example, as an incentive, protect property rights as a reason to work.
* To increase incentive and employment, lower the tax on working and on investing and establish a head tax instead. This will help create smaller government which should help raise the living standard of the people.

* Most taxes distort the economy and decrease incentive. This makes the head tax one of the best taxes because it seems to distort the economy the least and seems to decrease incentive the least. Head taxes also could be structured to act as a brake on the population explosion.

* To raise the quality of their lives, many people want more leisure, therefore we should promote more than a full employment economy with much more job flexibility. For examples, some people would like a four day work week and some would like a three day work week.
Many people want part-time work. Job sharing is a good concept. A choice of jobs is a good concept. Some would like to be able to switch more easily between jobs.
* To improve the quality-of-life, we should push the concept of part-time work and part-time study. We should make it easier to get to the libraries, the vocational schools, the colleges, and the universities. We should make parking free at these institutions. The best way to pay for this free parking is at the gas pump through the user gas tax. Also we should push for higher utilization of our above educational institutions. For example, the more hours and days a library is open, the more useful it is. Many colleges are under-utilized in the afternoons and evenings.

* To become a more prosperous, technological society of high re-cycling, we should promote orbital space colonization. Living in orbit and re-cycling should go together and will do much to advance our knowledge, advance our science, and will raise up the living standard of our people.

* Slowly, more and more people will realize that our Earth is a spaceship traveling through space on its annual voyage around the Sun, while at the same time the Sun continues on its voyage around the Milky Way Galaxy (about 4 times in a billion years.) Also our Milky Way Galaxy is traveling through space.
* What happens in the various areas of our Spaceship Earth do affect us. For example, in the United States, we might notice some of the refugees who have fled the poverty of the population explosion in their home areas to come to the United States to gain the benefits of a higher living standard.
* The Sun shines down upon our entire Spaceship Earth, and the high living standard that has been built up in areas like Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, Europe, and the English speaking nations, can be built up every where on our Spaceship Earth.
* The knowledge already exists on how to raise the living standard of the people of our entire Spaceship Earth.
* A good way to start is to promote local democracies and defend the individual rights of everyone on our Spaceship Earth and promote easier access to knowledge.

* We can stop the population explosion that is causing so many of the problems on our Spaceship Earth.

* In the early portion of the 1900's the population was somewhere around two billion people. Now in 2006, the population is over six billion people and climbing.

* In areas of our Spaceship Earth, the population explosion seems to have lead to starvation, disease, war, genocide, murder, cannibalism, crime, stress, and misery. We now have over six billion people on our Spaceship Earth, and the population is still increasing ! Our planetary resouces per person are decreasing.

* Instead of the horrible methods (such as starvation, disease, murder, and war) used in the past and present to try to control overpopulation, we should use a much more pleasant solution.
* A pleasanter solution to the population explosion is a head tax on each man, woman, and child on our Spaceship Earth. People want to avoid taxation. If they are going to be taxed (requiring money or labor) on each child instead of receiving welfare for each child, an incentive is suddenly created to have fewer children.

* If people say they won't pay their head taxes because they are unemployed and have nothing, it may be civilized for the governments to give them employment at the governments' beginning wage.

* In addition to slowing and reversing the population explosion, the head tax is a less distorting tax than other taxes. It is a beneficial tax, instead of a harmful tax. It is a better tax even in areas where the population is not increasing.

* Study competitive free market economics.
* Study science.
* Try to reverse the population explosion that has caused starvation and disease and murder and war in areas of our Spaceship Earth that should be "Gardens of Eden."
* Promote democracy at the local level all around our Spaceship Earth.
* Promote the individual rights of each person on our Spaceship Earth.
* Promote incentive, profits, and employment choices for everyone.
* The greater the profits, the more the people employed by the competitive free market economy. Profits (the wages of the employers) are a strong motivation to employ people.
* The governments should immediately employ all interested, unemployed people, at least at the starting, minimum wage determined by the various governments for the employment of people with problems.
* Employed people can be a little happier compared to when they are starving.
* Defend the ownership rights and incentive of the people, including the poor.
* Make access to libraries and colleges and trade schools easy, starting with free parking and free showers.
* Promote the concept that we humans are all related by way of our black ancestors who wandered out of equatorial Africa.
* Some areas of our Spaceship Earth would again become Gardens of Eden if the people of those warm tropical areas could bring down the birth rate. (Some of the genocide on Spaceship Earth may partly be caused by overpopulation. We now have over 6 billion people and the world population is continuing to increase !)
* There is so much hate among the people of our Spaceship Earth, but through knowledge and science and population control and trying to spread understanding, perhaps we can gradually decrease the hatred.

* Many people of our Spaceship Earth suffer from racism, but scientist tell us that we humans are all related. I read that there is only one human race.
* My understanding is that through geographical isolation from each other, we have developed different geographical, physical characteristics within our human race, but we are still one race in that men and women with the different geographical, physical characteristics can still have children together.
* Scientists tell us that human beings evolved in Africa and spread out gradually over the Earth.
* When I was a child, I was brought up by my parents in the Protestant Church. The adults around me told me that the first two people were Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden and Adam and Eve at first lived without clothes. They were naked.
* In Africa, near the equator it is hot under the burning Sun, and it is possible for humans to survive there without clothes, but they need black skin pigmentation to protect themselves from skin cancer caused by the radiation from the direct rays of the Sun.
* Under the direct solar radiation at the equator, people without protective pigmentation (such as a person born white) would slowly be killed by the skin cancer caused by the solar radiation from the Sun. But if the lighter skin people did survive, their descendants and their descendants descendants without protective pigmentation would slowly be killed. Naked humans under the direct radiation of the Sun in equatorial Africa needed protective pigmentation. They needed to be black. Children born with less pigmentation would be gradually eliminated by the radiation from the Sun.
* Thus the first Adams and Eves of the gardens of Eden in equatorial Africa were black. They had to be black to survive. People born without enough protective protection would die out over the generations.
* The adults around me in my religious up-bringing told me of the Garden of Eden.
* Hot Equatorial Africa was a huge "Garden of Eden" or many gardens of Eden, but a dangerous area filled with hungry predators.
* As our dark-skinned ancestors gradually moved out of hot Africa and moved north and moved into cool Europe and into cold Northern Europe, they no longer needed the protective skin pigmentation of their equatorial, African ancestors because the solar radiation in the north of Europe was coming in at an angle and therefore passed through more atmosphere which acted as a radiation filter, and this filtered radiation was spread out over more land area. Therefore it did not heat up the land or the people as much as it did further to the south.
* Each generation is slightly different from its parent generation. As more and more children were born in the North with less and less protective skin protection, the less and less dark children survived and grew up to be lighter skinned humans.
* Not as much protective pigmentation was required for survival of each generation of children, and nature under the weaker sun light of the cold North slowly created the white version of humans, who over many, many generations forgot their black African origin.
* Also, I am guessing that as our black ancestors from Africa moved more and more north, their protective pigmentation became a handicap in the weak sun light of the cold North. I suspect we humans gain some forms of nurishment from solar radiation, and when the weak, spread-out sun shine in the North had trouble getting through the black protective pigmentation of our black ancestors, it led to health problems for those with the black, protective pigmentation. Those descendents born with less pigmentation tended to be healthier in the North. Gradually over many generations, the descendents who had less protective pigmentation survived in the weak northern Sun light of the cold Northand multiplied while those who were born with too much protection slowly died out. This happened over many, many generations.
* The transformation of black Africans into white Europeans occurred over so many generations that the White Europeans forgot and then never knew that they were the descendants of Black Africans: the black Adams and the Eves of the gardens of Eden in equatorial Africa.
* When I was a child, the adults around me told me that Adam was created in the image of God. So (if the adults were telling me the truth) this would mean that when we see a black man, we are getting an image of God or at least a vision of our black, African ancestors.
* Science has told me that the gardens of Eden are in the equatorial regions of our Spaceship Earth where the people should be black if they want to survive and prosper.
* Science has told me that the Adams and Eves of our Spaceship Earth were black Africans and their descendants in the North of Europe have become white in order to survive being away from the burning Sun.
* Conclusion: Blacks who move north away from the burning Sun will probably have descendants who over the generations will become whiter. Whites who move back towards the warmth of the burning Sun will probably have descendants who over the generations will become darker, like their forgotten ancestors.
* The forgetting of our roots helped create racism. The remembering of our roots might help to build peace in our human family .

* Rocks can come alive! On our Spaceship Earth, under the warming power of the Sun, rocks have come alive. Rocks have been transformed over billions of years into sea plants and sea worms and fish and amphibians and land plants and insects and grass and trees and animals and birds-of-flight and intelligent humans, some readying themselves for the next up-lifting frontier: orbital space.
*Many people know that humans come from dust and return to dust. In orbital space, there is much dust and many rocks.
* Some people say that evolution was created by God as a tool of transformation and uplifting. Evolution seems to be gradually increasing intelligence.
* Some of the intelligent humans are working for the upward advancement of intelligent life to the next frontier: the high frontier of orbital space.
* Amphibians lived both in the sea and also moved onto the land. Amphibians were pioneers in the raising up of life from a water environment up to the less dense air environment of the coming land creatures.
* Now some intelligent humans are working to enable life to live not only on our Spaceship Earth, but also in orbital space. Life moved from the sea to the land and air. Now life has the ability to move into orbital space. The knowledge of orbital space colonization already exists in the filing cabinets, in the electronic data bases, in the books, and in the minds of some humans. The technology already exists and awaits its actual combination in the orbiting space colonies.
*The sea next to the land produced the amphibians that were able to go up and begin the colonization of the land. Now the intelligence and the technology of our Spaceship Earth are producing the humans that will be able to go up and colonize orbital space and colonize our Solar System.
*The rocks and the dust and the water of our solar system are waiting, waiting ... waiting for us to come up out of our gravity well and turn some of the rocks and dust floating in the open space of our solar system into more life.

* The governments of our Spaceship Earth are always sabotaging their economies. The governments therefore have a responsibility to provide emergency, low-paid employment to their people (including their problem people.) The reason that the government emergency employment has to be low-paid is that there is only so much money and resources available at each point in time.

* When many people receive a lot of the available money to buy the goods and services that have been produced, that leaves less real money to buy the remaining goods and services. This emergency employment will help produce a higher living standard than welfare will. The more people we can get into the work force of our Spaceship Earth, the more goods and services we can produce to raise the world living standard.

* This job creation is best done in the competitive free market economy, but government has to back up free market employment with government emergency employment including employment for people with problems. The many, many emergency employment systems could act as insurance systems, giving the people a basic level of protection from the harm caused by the governments' sabotaging of the economy of our Spaceship Earth.

* To help raise the living standard rapidly on our Spaceship Earth, let us suggest to the people of all nations that everyone who reads, writes, and speaks English and economics should be allowed entry into those nations which desire an increasing living standard. I predict any nation that adopts this policy of welcoming English and economics proficient people into their nation, will see an upward bound effect in their living standard.
* The knowledge of economics (the foundation of our living standard) exists in our economic text books and in the minds of some humans. In order to raise the living standard, we need to get knowledge of the principles of economics into the minds of voters. We should be teaching economics in elementary school.
* People who already have knowledge of economics should be welcomed into those nations which want to raise their living standard.
* Knowledge of English should help knit our Spaceship Earth together with more and more educated passengers and crew.
*The purpose of language is to be able to communicate with others. We need a common language for communicating with everyone on Spaceship Earth. A common language will help to raise the living standard.
* The many, many languages developed when humans spread out over the surface of Earth and then became isolated from each other. Now because of mass communication around Spaceship Earth and from our Earth orbiting communication satellites, the isolation is disappearing and more and more people are learning English, which should help to bring our human family back together again.

* Our scientists have discovered that all humans are related. Scientists have found that Africa (the continent of the hot, hot sun) is the home continent of humanity. This fact tells us that our ancestors were black.
* Whites and yellows and reds and even blacks are descended from our black ancestors. This knowledge should help to decrease racism. Blacks were the original humans. Without black skin pigmentation, our ancestors could not have survived under the burning African equatorial Sun. People without protective skin pigmentation born under the burning sun gradually died out due to skin cancer. In our African home continent, our African ancestors needed the black pigmentation to prevent skin cancer.
*We who have lost our black pigmentation would do well to avoid the burning Sun of the equatorial area of our Spaceship Earth. We would be wise to live in the cold North where the Sun will not burn us so badly. In the warm areas of Our Spaceship Earth, the burning Sun slowly kills the people who do not have protective skin pigmentation.
* To raise the living standard of all our relatives all over our Spaceship Earth, we should regard each human as royality in charge of her own life. * Some people have problems that are so, so severe that they are unsuccessful at finding employment at whatever the minimum wage is in their geographical area. These people with problems could probably find employment at the free market rates for people with their particular problems, but the minimum wages make it illegal to hire them when the market rate is below the minimum wage.
* When government establishes minimum wages, then government has a moral obligation to hire all comers at least at the minimum wage if not at a higher wage. Government should put its money where its minimum wage is. It is the right thing to do!

Humorist Michael Moore Needs Better Economic Answers

* Michael Moore -- the brilliant, documentary-making humorist -- needs better economic answers to the problems he presents in his entertaining movies. I just watched his movie "Roger & Me" for the second time. This humor was worth watching. The lack of economic knowledge among the people Michael Moore questioned was amazing and is reflective of the economic ignorance of the people of Our SpaceShip Earth. The 1989 documentary "Roger & Me" showed the poverty and misery that hit Flint Michigan when the production of vehicles became less profitable there and the workers were therefore let-go. In Flint Michigan, at that time, the goose that laid the golden eggs had finally been killed. The less-profitable vehicle production in Flint Michigan gradually stopped, and the workers were laid off.
* If we are to raise the living standard and quality of life on our SpaceShip Earth, it is important for the people to study the principles of economics and make sure that their employers make sufficient profits in their locale to want to continue the business in their locale, such as in the Flint Michigan of the latter 1980's.
* Profits are the wages of the employers. Not many employers want to work for free. To increase employment, increase profits! Employers want to hire when there are good profits to be made in a region. To increase employment around our Spaceship Earth, we should defend profits around our Spaceship Earth. This fact was not stressed in Michael Moore's educational documentary. The people who responded to Michael Moore's questions did not stress making Flint Michigan a more profitable locale to bring back employment to Flint Michigan.
* When we study and gain an understanding of the principles of economics, we then begin to understand what must be done to move our economy towards balance in which work becomes available for everyone who wants to work. Currently, the economies around our Spaceship Earth have been sabotaged by ignorance, and thus there is not work for everyone who wants work.

* This morning, I was listening to Senator Kent Conrad speaking from the floor of the United States Senate. Senator Kent Conrad is a Democrat from North Dakota. Senator Kent Conrad was saying that English is the common language of the United States and that people who immigrate into the United States should know English. I have long agreed with Senator Kent Conrad on this subject.
* In addition, I have long believed that if the people of Our SpaceShip Earth were to learn English, this knowledge of English would help the people of Our SpaceShip Earth to raise their living standard. English is the logical language to become the common language of Our Spaceship Earth.
* I am primarily of Scandinavian descent, and I am able to read Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, and German and parts of other languages, but English is the language of prosperity for Our Spaceship Earth.

* Today, Thursday, April 27, 2006 I heard and saw part of Senator Ron Wyden's mini-filibuster in the U.S. Senate in defense of the taxpayer. Senator Ron Wyden was speaking for me and a more prosperous Spaceship Earth. I was pleased. What he said made sense. Senator Ron Wyden was filibustering against the enslaved taxpayers' subsidies to the oil industry. (I am so, so used to the senators and congressional representatives voting to burder the taxpayers with subsidies to the special interests that pay for their election campaigns, that it is refreshing when someone like Senator Ron Wyden goes to unusual lengths to decrease the tax burden that the workers are forced to carry.) The heavy burden on the worker of subsidies tends to decrease the incentive to work. Subsidies tend to throw the economy of our SpaceShip Earth out of balance. Subsidies thus tend to lessen the living standard on Our SpaceShip Earth. Senator Ron Wyden is a Democrat from Oregon.

* The following is from my September 2004 campaign flyer, which I used in my race for Governor of Washington State. (In a two way race for the Libertarian primary election nomination, I succeeded in coming in second, being endorsed by about 44 % of the Libertarian voters. The flyer gives a summary of my 2004 September plan of improvements for Washington State:

* Starting with the homeless people, make life better. Abolish the criminal minimum wage which destroys low-value jobs and thereby destroys the lives of our less productive people and contributes to their misery and their homelessness. Using free market pricing, create jobs, jobs, and more jobs for people-with-problems who can not find jobs at the job-destroying minimum wage. Make it easier for troubled people to take care of themselves. Remember that most people earn more, not because of the minimum wage, but because their employers find them productive and reliable, and that profit creates jobs, but that losses create unemployment.

* At low pay, government (having only a limited amount of tax payers' money) should be an eager employer of unemployed citizens. Make government employment more flexible.

* To glorify Washington, grow the movie-making industry by making Washington State more business friendly so that businesses that were previously unprofitable, can become profitable.

* Promote the involvement of for-profit companies such as Boeing and also Washingtonians in the coming, amazing colonization of orbital space (the high frontier), which begins not far above us, but very far away from the minds of many people. In building the fantastic future, think of the continuing technological growth which transformed us from the horse-and-buggy age to the beginning of the Boeing space age and the Microsoft Age. Washingtonians should be involved in the continuing technological transformation into the unbelievable future. (I am the 2004 president of the Seattle Chapter of the National Space Society.)

* Increase the quality of life and reduce the stress level. To reduce traffic congestion and the related pollution, abolish building height restrictions which discourage the beautiful and desired Vancouver Canada type high-rise condominiums from being built here. Make parking easier. Make Washington best.
* Improve our democracy. For example, to do away with the spoiler effect of more than two candidates in an election, switch to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd choice, preferential voting, which will also enable the winner to win with more than 50 percent of the vote. * Increase the peoples' access to their public property, and defend it from white-collar vandalism. Increase afternoon and evening utilization of public universities and community colleges. Make it easier for people to increase their knowledge. Before building new libraries, increase the open hours of the current libraries. Increase the openness of our government. Make the treatment of mental illness more visible to the public. Lower the cost of medical care. Let people work.

* Most welfare recipients should work for their welfare money.

* Through work, use the time of prisoners more productively.
